Western BOP Lefties Whakatane June 29 & Mount Manganui June 30th (Ray Horsfall reports) Over the weekend, left-handed golfers from Auckland, Hamilton, and BOP had a great time playing. The weather was perfect, and the two courses were in excellent condition for the 30 players at Whakatane and 28 at the Mount. We were pleased to welcome four players from Whitford Park, led by Murray Horsnell, and Nagal Goundan, who scored a gross of 75 at Whakatane and 79 at the Mount. The standout performance of the weekend was from Ian Bartlett, who won the Alan Elliot (Ace) trophy for scoring 37 Stableford points on Saturday and 40 points on Sunday, with a gross of 77.
