​​Report on Taumarunui 74th Lefties Tournament 2024

Despite a rather gloomy weather forecast the Gods were kind to us.  Saturday’s weather was pretty good with a light sprinkling of moisture for a short period.  Sunny weather to start the day on Sunday, a little overcast at times but otherwise pretty perfect for golf.
 
There were 72 starters in the field – 54 left-handers and 18 right-handed supporters.  Most were regulars who have attended over many years.  A big welcome though to left-handed new comers from Fitzroy, Whitford Park, Belmont Wanganui, Ngamotu New Plymouth x 2, and Waitikiri in the South Island.  They were really impressed with our course and hospitality and said that they will definitely be back next year.
