On Saturday 6 September 2025 just before tee off at 11am there was a downpour with people wondering whether we would play or not. Come 11am the sun came out and, apart from a little rain on one or two holes, it stayed with us. Sunday’s forecast was not good but we were blessed again with a sunny day and the downpour came just after the last ones came in.
There were 72 (55 lefties & 17 righties) in the field representing 31 clubs from around the country, viz. Castlecliff, Clarks Beach, Feilding, Hauraki, Hawkes Bay, Helensville, Horsham Downs, Howick, Levin, Mahunga, Maramarua, Napier, Ngahinepouri, Ngaruawahia, Ohope Beach, Paraparaumu, Poverty Bay, Rangitikei, RNZAF Auckland, Taumarunui, Tauranga, Te Aroha, Te Marua, Tieke, Urenui, Waikanae, Wainuiomata, Waitemata, Waitikiri (ChCh), Westown, and Whitford Park.
