Reefton is a small town located inland next to the Inangahua River in the West Coast region of the South Island. In August 1888, Reefton became the first place in both New Zealand and the Southern Hemisphere to have a public supply of electricity, even before the fashionable suburbs of London and New York. The Reefton Golf Course, also known as Glenburnie, is a voluntary-run 12-hole course with six different tee boxes for holes 13-18.

The course was very dry with the greens a little slower than what
a lot of us are used to. Saying that, there were some good
scores by a few. Thanks to Brian Hampton for running the
tournament as he is now living in Richmond, Nelson.
We now have a new trophy to play for in the Tasman area.
The Kerry Smith Memorial trophy. It is for the most
stablefords over the 3 tournaments in Blenheim, Motueka
and Reefton. Nathan Smith took great pleasure in presenting
the trophy to Rob Golding. His score was 173 points.
