2015 Nationals Mahunga Golf Club - 13th - 16th April
- A wonderful week at Mahunga, with the club members getting behind our National tournament and helping in every area, very ably managed by Graeme Dick, Bill Sangster and their committee, a very special time enjoyed by all of us who played this very beautiful and interesting course.
Ken Shea again headed our open group, whilst Dave Fraser came out of top in the senior group; John Price won the open net, and Tom York the senior net.
An Australian visitor, Cheryl Gorman played very steady golf and easily won the Ladies Gross, Hilary Lovett won the net, and Anne Hodges won the stableford.
We announced that Phil Butler had been awarded a life membership, and this was warmly applauded. Phil and Jan Butler have run the Tirau Tournament for 30 years, and Phil had also been Waikato/Bay of Plenty delegate for many years.
Thank you Mahunga, very well done.
-John B. National Secretary
