Alex Walters did a wonderful job in resurrecting this Tournament of old. He now lives in Waitarere just down the road from Levin and took the opportunity to honour his long time friend Neil Sim whose name is on the Trophies that were donated by Neil many years ago.
Alex is photographed with Lisa Herbert from Feilding GC - they were the Trophy winners on the day.
A great day enjoyed by approximately 35 Lefties from all parts of the lower North Island.
Many of the Stalwarts played including two Life members - they being Geoff Ingram and Nigel Messenger. Bill Werry was there too - still playing and supporting the Lefties.
The course was in great shape. Many trees have been removed since we last played so the course is more open but the challenges remain especially the unique greens.
We hope to return annually!
